Choroid Plexus Organoids with Barrier Properties and CSF
Source Pellegrini et al. · MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK · 10.1126/science.aaz5626
Abstract
Pellegrini et al. developed choroid plexus organoids from human iPSCs that self-organize into cystic structures producing cerebrospinal fluid-like fluid with selective barrier properties. Published in Science 2020, this Lancaster lab protocol enables modeling of the blood-CSF barrier for CNS drug delivery studies and investigation of choroid plexus-related pathologies.
