Specification of Human Subplate Neurons
Source Ozair et al. · Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA
Abstract
Ozair et al. developed a protocol for directed specification of human subplate neurons from pluripotent stem cells, generating this critical transient neuronal population that guides cortical circuit assembly during development. The Cell Stem Cell 2018 study enables investigation of subplate-dependent cortical wiring and preterm brain injury mechanisms.
