Abstract

Revah et al. transplanted human cortical organoids into the somatosensory cortex of neonatal rats, demonstrating functional integration with host neural circuits and the ability to modulate reward-seeking behavior. This Nature 2022 breakthrough from the Paşca and Deisseroth labs represents the most advanced demonstration of human brain organoid functional integration in vivo.
