Abstract

Bian et al. used multiplexed CRISPR/Cas9 mutagenesis to knockout tumor suppressors (TP53, PTEN, NF1, CDKN2A) in cerebral organoids, generating de novo GBM-like tumors within normal brain tissue context. This Nature Methods 2018 study from the Knoblich lab enables studying the earliest events in brain tumor initiation.
