High-Efficiency Retinal Specification via BMP4 Pulse
Source Kuwahara et al. · Nagoya University / Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma, Nagoya & Osaka, Japan
Abstract
Kuwahara et al. developed a high-efficiency retinal organoid protocol using a transient BMP4 pulse on Day 6 that increases retinal specification from ~30% to over 80%. This optimized Sasai lab protocol forms the basis for the Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma clinical program for retinal sheet transplantation.
