Abstract

Sridhar et al. performed a comprehensive single-cell RNA-sequencing time course of human retinal organoid development spanning 6 months, identifying all seven major retinal cell types and mapping their developmental trajectories with comparison to human fetal retina. This atlas provides the transcriptomic benchmark for quality control in retinal organoid research and clinical manufacturing.
