Specification of Atrioventricular Node-Like Cells from iPSCs
Source Yechikov et al. · Department of Pharmacology, University of California Davis, Davis, USA · 10.1016/j.stemcr.2020.06.016
Abstract
Yechikov et al. developed a protocol for generating atrioventricular node-like cells from human iPSCs using NRG1/ErbB signaling during cardiac differentiation. The resulting cells express AVN markers TBX3/MSX2, display slow conduction velocity and delayed calcium kinetics, and respond to AV node-selective drugs, providing a model for conduction system diseases.
