Abstract

Lee et al. generated the most complex human heart organoid to date, featuring four distinct chamber-like regions corresponding to atrial, ventricular, inflow, and outflow tract identities. Multi-step growth factor patterning recapitulates early heart development, and spatial transcriptomics confirms region-specific gene expression, enabling studies of complex congenital heart diseases and whole-heart pharmacology.
