Abstract

Itzhaki et al. generated patient-specific iPSC-cardiomyocytes carrying the hERG A614V mutation causing LQTS2. These cells displayed prolonged action potentials, reduced IKr current, and early afterdepolarizations. Pharmacological rescue with calcium channel blockers and K-ATP openers validated the model for therapeutic drug screening.
