Abstract

Stevens et al. demonstrated that pre-vascularized cardiac patches containing iPSC-CMs, endothelial cells, and stromal cells achieve dramatically improved graft survival upon implantation. The pre-formed vascular plexus rapidly anastomoses with host vasculature, addressing the critical challenge of graft ischemia in cardiac regeneration therapy.
