Abstract

Xiang et al. generated cardiac-sympathetic neuron assembloids where iPSC-derived sympathetic neurons form functional contacts with cardiomyocytes. Sympathetic innervation drives norepinephrine-mediated chronotropy antagonized by β-blockers, creating the first human model of autonomic cardiac regulation for drug testing and innervation studies.
