Abstract

Ronaldson-Bouchard et al. developed a microfluidically linked cardiac-kidney multi-organ system where cisplatin-induced kidney injury triggers secondary cardiac dysfunction through shared circulation. The platform models cardiorenal syndrome, demonstrating inter-organ crosstalk and enabling assessment of drug-induced multi-organ toxicity cascades.
