Source Guyette et al. · Center for Regenerative Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA · 10.1161/circresaha.115.306874
Abstract
Guyette et al. decellularized 73 human cadaveric and porcine hearts, establishing a clinical-scale scaffold bank. Recellularization with human iPSC-CMs via coronary perfusion achieves regional repopulation and visible contractile function after 14 days, advancing whole-heart tissue engineering toward clinical application.
