Abstract

Miyagawa/Sawa et al. developed clinical-grade iPSC-CM cell sheets using temperature-responsive dishes for epicardial transplantation in heart failure. GMP manufacturing produces 100 million iPSC-CMs per patient dose, with preclinical efficacy demonstrated by cardiac function improvement, leading to the world's first iPSC-CM clinical trial in Japan.
