Abstract

Developed an independent gut-on-a-chip platform using primary human organoid-derived cells with peristalsis-mimicking mechanical strain and continuous flow. The chip supported spontaneous villus-like morphogenesis, differentiation of all four intestinal cell lineages, and formation of a functional MUC2 mucus layer.
