Abstract

Characterized dose-dependent damage of C. difficile toxins A and B on human colonic organoids including tight junction disruption and cytoskeletal collapse. Toxin B was 10-fold more potent than Toxin A, and the anti-toxin antibody bezlotoxumab rescued organoid damage, validating the clinical mechanism of action.
