Abstract

McCarron et al. (Weill Cornell) demonstrierten, dass Leberorganoids aus irreversibel geschädigtem NASH-Gewebe (explantierte Transplantationsleben) erfolgreich etabliert werden können. Diese Organoids bewahrten NASH-Genexpressionsprofile und reagierten auf Drug Screening (Obeticholic Acid, Elafibranor). Eröffnet die Möglichkeit, personalisierte NASH-Organoids auch aus schwersten Erkrankungsstadien zu generieren.
