Abstract

Hu und Clevers (Hubrecht, Cell 2018) beschrieben neben adulten Hep-Orgs auch fetale Leberorganoids aus humanen Hepatoblasten. Fötale Organoids zeigten Bipotenz (Hepatozyten + Cholangiocyten), AFP/ALB-Koexpression und eine Lgr5+ Subpopulation. CYP3A4-Aktivität war geringer als in adulten Hep-Orgs — wichtig für entwicklungsbiologische Studien und Modellierung kongenitaler Lebererkrankungen.
